Age of Fear 2005 - Hurricane Katrina Appeal

Dear Friends

The world has witnessed a disaster of tragic proportions. But, although it was nature who brought her cruel storm, the organisational aftermath is what has shocked and distressed so many millions of us around the globe.

A good friend sent me a link to a radio interview that the Mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin, made last week. His words touched me and moved me as I heard the anguish of one man, deserted by those who could (and should) have helped him sooner.

Although many thousands of miles away in London, I wanted to try and do something that would make a difference.

So I took his words and edited them in to a song called Age Of Fear. The result was so tragically apt, that I decided to create a "home made" video to go with it. All day and night, Sunday 4th September, I took news footage from CNN, SKY and BBC WORLD and worked to edit together something that both reflected what had happened during the week and also underpinned the music and lyrics.

You can see the results here. Please feel free download (or copy links) and pass both track and video on to everyone you know, with a request to make a donation to the Red Cross who are so valiantly fighting in the front line.

Please give generously - They need all the help we can give.
Peace and Love

Tony
