Abbey Road Studios (Private Event) - 4th May 2005

We never knew cables could be so much fun! Tony was hosting the event to launch Abbey Road Cables - which were silvery black & white and attractively twisted. He commenced the evening with a eulogy in praise of the cables - though invoking their 'magic' and referring to the cauldrons in the pressroom may have been taking things a little too far.

Tony with Riccardi at Abbey RoadThere were a number of acts playing to demonstrate their efficiency - the first playing mainly covers and followed by a band of drummers. The evening really kicked off about half eight with "Rain" by surprise guest, Ben Taylor and then Tony himself (on guitar or grand piano), accompanied by Riccardi, Ben and Anna Mac in various combinations, played songs from Tony's forthcoming album. When not actually on stage, Ben provided his usual exuberant entertainment.

Riccardi then took centre stage to perform their original material, including two new songs, and rocked the building - with a number of the audience unable to keep their feet still. The evening ended with another of Tony's songs, "Love Saves the Day". HJB
