Lanzi's - 3rd September 2005

Tony at Lanzi's - photo copyright LindaTony chose the intimate setting of Lanzi's basement to recreate the Kashmir Klub experience with new 'Kashmir Klub' backdrops (ie ethnic throws from Camden Market) and a menu featuring delicious pastas and pizzas.

Tont at Lanzi's - photo copyright LindaThis was the fourth such evening and followed the usual pattern of a short set by one of Tony's friends, followed by two incredible long sets by Tony. Amity Fletcher, Tony's special guest, was a classic singer/songwriter with a beautiful voice and great lyrics and melodies. Tony thrilled his audience by including the rarely heard "The Judas Hole" and "Here Come the Waves" in his set, along with songs from his latest album and the Reinhardt/Cohen/Sting inspired "City of Eternal Darkness". It was a lovely evening.
