Marylebone Christmas Lights - 17th November 2005

Tony at Marylebone - photo copyright DeeTony continued his long association with the Marylebone area, home to Radio London and the erstwhile Kashmir Klub, by hosting the music stage at the Christmas lights ceremony.

Dressed in an eclectic outfit of Dickensian frock coat and topper accessorised with a powder blue 'light spinner', he introduced a selection of seasonal songs from five local school choirs. These ranged from the traditional "Away In a Manger" from the youngest performers, to an incredible and emphatic "Fairytale of New York" by a local college.

The celebrations continued with a superb set from The Storys before Tony handed over to Sadie Nine to announce the winners of the Christmas card competiton and the lights were switched on by Nell McAndrew. The Storys sang their single, "Cinnamon" before Tony, accompanied by Sadie Nine on backing vocals, brought the evening to a fitting end with "The Best Day of Your Life".
