This was one of the best Lanzi's evenings so far. Again the place was packed with many of the audience coming to see the wonderful Jodie Seymour but staying till the end. It was rather noisy but a great atmosphere and Lanzi's service was much improved.
Tony played a fabulous set, being totally unfazed when a string broke at the beginning of "Tunnel Vision" and electing to play it on piano instead. We were also treated to an improvisation, "The Dessert Song", which was a literal rendition of the dessert menu with prices (everything was £3.80 except for the melon at £2.95).
Other musical higlights included Tony's idea of a Christmas song, the Radio Java classic "Fool" which reached number one in the Dutch airplay charts in the early 80s and "I Love You Just in Case" which, by coincidence, was requested by some Dutch fans in the audience. We were also treated to "Shake Your Tree" twice, with the accompaniment of "Christmas" bells supplied by Dee, Linda and Rhys.
Thank you, as always, to Dee and Linda for supplying the photos.
